Big Charles is a hi-fi speaker with a new functional and visual concept.

 

Using a shape-memory alloy the speaker is able to be small when it is off and big and resonant when it is turned on.

 

Its spiral shape allows it to “bloom” and grow from 50cm diameter to more than a meter, creating a soundboard that improves the quality of the sound to enjoy the more subtle nuances of the music.
